  London

  London is the capital of England. It is on the river Thames. More than 7 million people live and work there. You can find a lot of interesting places in London. Everybody knows The Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben-the clock tower in London. William the Conqueror built the Tower in the eleventh century. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. There are black ravens in the Tower. People believe that London will be rich while ravens live there. St. Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey are the greatest churches in London. They are very big and beautiful. Trafalgar Square is in the centre of London. There you can see a monument to Admiral Nelson and fine fountains. The Queen of England lives in Buckingham Palace. London has many museums, for example The British Museum, The National Gallery, Madam Tusseaud’s museum. The symbol of London is Big Ben. It’s a clock tower in the Houses of Parliament. There are many parks in London. The largest park is Hyde Park. Many tourists visit London every year.

  Moscow

  Moscow is the capital of Russia. It is on the river Moskva. More than 12 million people live and work there. You can find a lot of interesting places in Moscow. Everybody knows The Kremlin, Red Square,, and the Bolshoy Theatre. The President of Russia works in the Kremlin. Moscow has many museums, for example the Pushkin Museum, the History Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery. The symbol of Moscow is the Spasskaya Tower. It’s a clock tower in the Kremlin. There are many parks in Moscow. The Alexadrovsky Garden, the Victory Park, The Gorky Park. Many tourists visit Moscow every year.
