Цели: - совершенствование умений и навыков устной речи; - расширение кругозора учащихся через лингвострановедческую информацию; - поддерживание интереса к изучению английского языка. Тип урока: комбинированный. Задачи урока: -расширять страноведческие знания по теме; - совершенствовать навык монологической речи; - активизировать лексический и орфографический навык; - развивать мышление, умение давать оценку, высказывать своё мнение на английском языке; - расширять кругозор; - воспитывать уважение и интерес к изучению английского языка. Оборудование: компьютерная презентации по теме урока, карточки с заданием по количеству учащихся; доклады.

The United States of Americais situated in the central part of the North American continent. The area of the USA is over 9 million square kilometers. The population of the United States is nearly 250 million people. Most of people live in towns. The official language of the country is English. Other minority languages include Spanish, Italian, German, Polish, Russian, American Indian tongues, Chinese and Japanese.

The climate is different in different regions. The Pacific coast is a region of mild winters and warm, drysummers, but the eastern region has a rainy climate. The coldest state is Alaska. The surface is changeable. There are a lot of deserts, meadows, mountains in the USA. There are rivers, five Great Lakes between the USA and Canada. The weather is changeable in it.
